Footwear Development

During my time in Vietnam, I was part of the Footwear Development team, transforming innovative ideas into market-ready products. As a Footwear Developer, I managed projects from concept to commercialization, gaining hands-on experience with materials, components, and construction while balancing performance, quality, and cost. I honed my skills in development planning, execution, and cost optimization, ensuring efficiency at every stage. Collaborating with teams in Zurich and Portland, as well as engineers, planners, and material specialists, I thrived in a fast-paced, dynamic environment that pushed me to grow and make an impact.

This project was driven by the ambition to further expand our Performance All-Day Tennis collection while finding the right approach to reinterpret the classic canvas shoe through our unique perspective. The goal was to blend timeless aesthetics with modern performance features, staying true to our brand’s identity while pushing innovation forward.

From the very beginning, three key aspects shaped the direction of this project:

1. Introducing a new look and feel through canvas materialization

2. Maintaining a strong and consistent identity within the Roger franchise

3. Embedding sustainability as a fundamental design principle
