Achievements & Growth
During my journey as a footwear product manager, I’ve had the opportunity to contribute to exciting projects and develop valuable skills:
1. Successfully contributed to the development and launch of the Roger Advantage Youth, overseeing the entire process from brief to final product. This experience was especially rewarding as I had the opportunity to create the brief myself and collaborate closely with the entire team. The most fulfilling part? Seeing the shoes approved and officially released!
2. Conducted market research and trend analysis to identify key consumer preferences and participated in the in-person sell-in meeting in New York with Bloomingdale’s, one of the most renowned retail chains in the U.S.
3. Collaborated with cross-functional teams across design, marketing, and production, ensuring smooth project execution and maintaining high-quality standards.
4. Gained confidence in public speaking by presenting to the team on multiple occasions, improving my communication skills significantly. Thanks to this I also had the chance to present my research on kids’ psychology in color selection during LR2. It was fascinating to explore how children perceive colors and how this impacts their choices. Standing in front of leadership and sharing my insights was a moment of personal and professional growth, pushing me beyond my comfort zone.
5. Received positive feedback from supervisors and colleagues for my proactive approach, attention to detail, and strong communication skills.
Moreover, I supported my manager in conducting in-depth market research to craft better briefs and prepared a detailed presentation on Bloomingdale’s, helping refine our approach before our New York meeting. These experiences strengthened my analytical skills and strategic thinking.
THE EXPLORER SPIRIT
One of the most valuable lessons I’ve learned is the importance of embracing curiosity. Coming from a creative background and stepping into a product management role wasn’t easy, but I approached it with an explorer’s mindset. This allowed me to discover new aspects of the industry, challenge myself, and develop skills I never thought I would need.
Another key learning was the power of teamwork. I realized how crucial it is to ask for help when needed and how collaboration drives success. The best projects are born from shared insights and diverse perspectives.
