My training program at @on The PCA is an Early Career Program in R&D, designed to develop the next generation of talent. Unlike traditional programs, it doesn’t require a degree or prior experience in product creation, broadening opportunities for diverse candidates. Launched in January 2023, the first cohort started in Zurich, followed by an expansion to Vietnam. The program took 10 months to develop, involving careful planning of duration, team involvement, program structure, logistics, and stakeholder training. Key considerations included legal and operational aspects like contracts and visas.

This project was my first experience in footwear design, where I had the opportunity to collaborate with another designer. The following images showcase the entire creative process behind the collection, including the manifesto, initial sketches, and final prototypes. We chose to create a sneaker that embodies the magnetic, eruptive, and fluid energy of life. We are drawn to what is difficult to contain, define, and assert. We are interested in listening, observing, and responding to what we see. We believe that our journey can only take shape through a strong synergy with those who choose and live Lava. Our creative promise is built on interweaving— the double lacing that binds the anomalies of time and space with the vibrations of joy. Our inspirations are magnetic fields and volcanoes.
